We have an evaluation agency, UNIBASQ, which ensures the promotion and quality assurance of university activity and is the organism responsible for verifying degrees in the Basque Country, to certify the Dual Education system. The Basque Country is the first autonomous community to regulate the dual studies, a modality in which the great distance between classical teaching and the real world disappears thanks to the combined training between the educational centre and companies. At the present time and on the part of the Department of Education of the Basque Government-Eusko Jaurlaritza, it has been decided to accelerate the introduction of degree courses that combine study and work in companies cooperating with University. Cooperating, we work and are dedicated to your future and as you can see, the momentum is strong, a national challenge.
What’s more, the end of November saw the setting up of the Observatory of University Activity. With only one click this platform gives access to the details of all 353 degrees, masters and PhDs that are taught in the Basque Country.
We have just set up the I Basque University-Business Strategy (until 2022) because the future is already.

STRUCTURE OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY
The current structure of higher education in the universities in BILBAO (Biscay) adapts to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and is based on three cycles: degree, master’s and PhD. They are divided, at the same time, into 5 branches of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, Engineering and Architecture.
