HIGHER VOCATIONAL TRAINING

Vocational Training is a combination of studies more related to professional occupations and the job market, and nowadays is interpreted as continuous throughout the working life of a person, understanding Vocational Training as “state regulated education” specific to young people of school age, and as “education for employment” aimed at working people, and as the “recognition of professional competence”.

An educational cycle is regulated education which one completes with theoretical-practical knowledge in relation to a professional field, aimed at developing professional competences in this field and which includes an internship in a company.

Vocational Training in the educational system is organised into Basic, Intermediate and Higher Professional Training Cycles and Specialisation programmes.
